Welcome to the website of Colchester Leisureworld Shotokan Karate Club. We train at Colchester Leisureworld.

Colchester Leisureworld Shotokan Karate Club practises traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate under the tuition of Sensei Lawrence Klein and is affiliated to The English Karate Federation. We are a club for all ages.

We try to take a friendly and honest approach to Karate emphasising both the martial arts aspect as well as the general fitness and social aspects.

The philosophy of the club is to try to help students get what they want out of Karate whether it is fitness, self-fulfillment or competitive success.

In addition to training we also organise trips to special courses, tournaments as well as a summer barbeque, a Christmas disco and numerous other social events.
